Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how DNA Aquatic (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit our website, make a purchase (in-store or online), or enroll in our subscription plans (e.g., Coral of the Month, Live Pods, Clean-Up Crew, Food).

By using our site or services, you agree to this Policy.


1) Information We Collect

Identity & contact. Name, email, phone number, billing/shipping address.
Account details. Login email, saved addresses, order history.
Orders & payment. Items purchased, order totals, and limited payment details. We do not store full card numbers. Payments (including card-on-file for subscriptions) are processed by our PCI-compliant processors (e.g., Clover and/or Stripe) and our e-commerce platform (Ecwid).
Communications. Messages you send us (email, contact forms, social DMs), product reviews.
Device & browsing. IP address, browser/device type, pages viewed, referral URLs, approximate location (derived from IP), and cookies/beacons used for site functionality, analytics, and marketing (see Cookies below).
In-store. For in-store purchases, we may collect your name, email/phone, and card-on-file consent to enable recurring billing, receipts, and customer service.


2) How We Use Information

  • To fulfill orders & subscriptions (process payments, ship items, send confirmations/receipts).
  • To operate and improve our site (debugging, load balancing, analytics).
  • Customer support (respond to questions, manage DOA claims and returns, troubleshoot issues).
  • Marketing (with your consent where required): email/SMS updates, promotions, ads.
  • Security & legal (fraud prevention, compliance with law, enforcing our Terms).

3) Sharing Personal Information

We share personal information with service providers who help us run our business, for example:

  • E-commerce & hosting: Ecwid (storefront/cart/checkout).
  • Payments: Clover and/or Stripe (secure payment processing, card-on-file for subscriptions).
  • Shipping: USPS/UPS/FedEx or similar carriers to deliver your order.
  • Email/SMS & marketing tools: (e.g., Mailchimp/Klaviyo, Meta/Google/TikTok if used).
  • IT/analytics: (e.g., Google Analytics, Meta Pixel—optional, if enabled).

We may disclose information: (a) to comply with laws or legal requests; (b) to protect rights, safety, or property of our customers or business; (c) during a business transaction (merger, acquisition, asset sale).

We do not sell personal information. If we use cross-context behavioral advertising tools, California residents can opt out (see “Your Rights” below).


4) Cookies & Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Make the site work (cart, checkout, login, preferences).
  • Measure performance (analytics, page performance).
  • Personalize & advertise (if marketing pixels are enabled).

Managing cookies. Most browsers let you block/delete cookies. Blocking essential cookies may break cart/checkout. If you use ad-blocking or privacy tools, parts of the site may not function as expected.

Do Not Track. We currently do not respond to Do-Not-Track (DNT) signals due to industry standards not being uniform.


5) Your Choices & Rights

Access/Update/Delete. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing dnaaquatic.indiana@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity.
Marketing Opt-Out. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails via the link in any email, or email us to opt out. (Transactional emails for orders/subscriptions will still be sent.)
California residents (CCPA/CPRA). We do not “sell” personal information for money. If we engage in cross-context behavioral advertising, you may request to opt out of sharing by contacting us. You may also request access, correction, or deletion of your information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
EEA/UK visitors. If you are in the EEA/UK, you may have rights to access, rectify, delete, or restrict processing. We process personal data primarily to fulfill contracts (orders/subscriptions) and for legitimate interests (security, customer service, analytics). Contact us to exercise rights.


6) Data Retention

We keep order, subscription, and support records for as long as needed for business, tax, and legal purposes. Card details are stored only by our payment processors. We keep marketing preferences until you opt out or your account is deleted.


7) Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate for a small business. No system is 100% secure; please notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized activity.


8) Children’s Privacy

Our site and services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.


9) International Transfers

Our store and servers may be located in the United States. If you access our site from outside the US, your information may be processed in the US (where privacy laws may differ from your country’s laws).


10) Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy periodically. Changes will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the site or services after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
